The true mission of Jesus and the spirit of Christmas was evident at Holy Cross Primary School, Glenwood this week when Year One students presented gifts they bought for the Kmart Wishing Tree at Blacktown.

The store manager met three representatives from Year One- Arabelle Stennett, Patrick Villiers and Amelia O’Rourke and congratulated them on their generosity towards those in need.

Earlier this term, students made puzzles, packaged them and sold them, to raise money for the gifts. The students then chose gifts and wrapped them in their own art work for children in need this Christmas.

Principal Marina Hardy said that the students’ generous and thoughtful actions reflect the true meaning of Christmas. ‘We are very proud of our young students who have worked to raise money and buy gifts to those who are not as fortunate,’ said Marina.
